Be sure to read to your students everyday!
We had a fun learning experience by having a class store. That is open once a week. They are able to purchase items such as stickers, candy, pencils and class room coupons with the money they have earned. The students earn the money by completing class work, good behavior, reading books, and following the class room rules. This activity helps the students become familiar with coins, they learn how to count money and they learn about earning, saving, and spending money. Everyone has a great time while learning!
The class did a Accelerated Reader Program. Each student made a giant key chain and they got a key for each test passed.
