What made you want to be a teacher? 
    I had an outstanding 5th grade teacher who was a strong role model in my life.
What is your claim to fame?
    I am not sure I have any. I love what I do and that is why I feel so strongly in seeing the students coming out of our colleges and universities have programs that keep up with current trends in education. That is why I am the chair of Teachers Standards and Practices Commission.

    3 days-labor with my second child
