One activity they are participating in is “Students Today Aren’t Ready for Sex” program. This will be their first year on STARS. Each spring three of them are introduced to a group of 6th graders. During the presentations they stress the importance of staying abstinent from sex and sexual activities. We also provide different ways to show affection, other than the overrated sexual myths. Thus helping to make the abstinent plan more effective. These young teens look up to them and others as role models. They feel more confident in their actions because of the time we donate. Throughout this event they will have learned new things also. They probably now will able to give speeches more effectively, and feel good about the differences they make in each teens life.
