From the WEST:  
bulletGet on Interstate 84 and drive 50 Miles past The Dalles, 
bulletExit the freeway at ARLINGTON, 
bulletTurn right on MAIN
bulletFollow the street to the top of the hill.
From the EAST: 
bulletGet on Interstate 84.  Drive West until you reach the exit for ARLINGTON. 
bulletExit the freeway and proceed past the SHELL gas station.  
bulletTurn LEFT at the SHELL station
bulletTurn RIGHT on MAIN 
bulletFollow the street to the top of the hill.

There will be kites on display, kite demonstrations, free-flying time, an AKA Sanctioned indoor competition, indoor stunt kite demonstration, Indoor Hot Trick Shoot-out, and outdoor flying weather permitting.  This year we plan to have more spectators and hopefully a full squad of fliers (weather permitting in the Columbia River Gorge!)

Friday, FEB 15th, AHS hosts a home basketball game and halftime is ours for indoor kite demonstrations.  Please email Alan if you wish to participate

Saturday, FEB 16th, will begin in the morning with more free-flying time. At 11am the demonstrations will start. Some more free-flying through the lunch hour and at 1pm and 4:00pm  there will be 2 indoor competitions.    Dinner is at 5:30 pm at the same location.    Lunch and Dinner provided for registered fliers by the Chamber of Commerce and Columbia River Kites.  meals available for a nominal fee (and hey... where else ya' gonna go?)
Awards ceremony and Bag Raffle will commence after dinner.  Please bring something for the Bag Raffle.    

Sunday, FEB 17th, will bring even more free-flying time, AKA sanctioned kite comp #2, demonstrations, and an indoor ''Hot Trick Shoot-out''. 

bulletTo compete in either or both of the competitions you must be a current AKA member and there will be a $10 registration fee per AKA event.   Pre-registration is preferred, but not required.  Fliers will compete in EXP/MASTERS class, scores will be reported as OPEN class for the AKA.
bulletIF WE HAVE ENOUGH PRE-REGISTERED FLIERS WE MAY OFFER A EXP and MASTERS class awards (all scores reported to AKA as OIIU).

bulletConcessions will be available at the school and Local business owners are welcoming NWSKL members and their families to Arlington.  
bullet Joe at The Village Inn Motel offered a special rate for a 2 night stay for fliers(pending 1/2/07)... ask for it when you make reservations.  541-454-2646  make your reservations early to make sure you have a room.
